About Me
Hi, I’m Kevala Kenna, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Erie, Colorado.
I’ve always been drawn to people and their stories. Humans are fascinating to me — the ways we adapt, the roles we learn to carry, and how our experiences shape the way we understand ourselves and relate to others. That curiosity eventually became the foundation of the work I do today.
There was a season in my own life marked by deep loss, disruption, and questions I didn’t know how to answer. It forced me to look more closely at who I was, the roles I had learned to carry, and what felt true underneath them. That season changed me, and continues to influence how I sit with people in moments that feel uncertain or unsteady.
I’m a Colorado native, married for more than two decades, and the parent of three kids whose lives now span high school, college, and beyond (they are so big!). I'm a Colorado native who doesn't ski, hates the cold and yet will never leave because 90% of the people I love live here and Colorado has 300+ days of sunshine. When I'm not nerding out on all things related to counseling, sociology, psychology, and personality, I'm running, writing, reading, doing karaoke, dancing, playing board games, trying to nail the elusive-to-me cartwheel, soaking up the sun, and mostly—just being with my people.
